BELLE-VUE-MAUREL, Mar. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Mauritius defeated Rwanda by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Stade Anjalay.
45 minutes of play and neither the Mauritians nor the Rwandans have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Rasolofonirina in the 58th minute.
The result put the Mauritians second in Group H with 6 points. Rwanda is third with 3 points. In their next game, Mauritius will meet third-placed Rwanda at the Stade Anjalay on March 29, while Rwanda will face Mauritius.
