AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Mozambique beats Rwanda 3-2
KIGALI, Jun. 4, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Mozambique defeated Rwanda by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Domingues scored dual goals
Mozambique dominated the first half thanks to goals from Domingues ('9) and Manjate ('44). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Mozambicans further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Domingues in the 79th minute.
The result put the Rwandans second in Group H with 6 points. Mozambique is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Rwanda will meet group leaders Ghana at the Amahoro Stadium on September 3, while Mozambique will face Mauritius.
