BELLE-VUE-MAUREL, Jun. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Ghana defeated Mauritius by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Stade Anjalay.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Ayew ('70) and Atsu ('73).
The result put the Ghanaians top of Group H with 13 points. Mauritius is third with 6 points. In their last game, Ghana will meet second-placed Rwanda at the Stade Anjalay on September 3, while Mauritius will face Mozambique.
