AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Ghana held to a 1-1 draw by Rwanda but qualifies for 2017 AFCON
ACCRA, Sep. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Ghana tied 1-1 with Rwanda (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON qualifying game on Saturday afternoon at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.
The Ghanaians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Tetteh in the 23rd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Rwanda with a saving goal from Hakizimana in the 83rd minute.
Ghana secured their ticket to the AFCON finals. Rwanda is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Group H
