AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Seychelles draw 1-1 with Ethiopia
VICTORIA, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : The Seychelles tied 1-1 with Ethiopia (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Stade Linité in Victoria.
The Seychellois,Seychelloises started off well by taking the lead thanks to Adela on penalty in the 23rd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Ethiopia with a saving goal from Tesfaye in the 52nd minute.
The result put the Ethiopians top of Group J with 4 points. The Seychelles is third with one point. In their next game, Ethiopia will meet second-placed Algeria at the Stade Linité on March 25, while the Seychelles will face Lesotho.
