AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Algeria beats Lesotho 3-1
MASERU, Sep. 6, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Algeria defeated Lesotho by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Setsoto Stadium in Maseru.
Soudani scored dual goals
Algerian defender Faouzi Ghoulam opened the score in the 32nd minute, before seeing Lesotho catch up in the 38th minute thanks to Mokhahlane. 1-1 at half time. The Algerians eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Soudani ('85, '90).
The result put the Algerians top of Group J with 6 points. Lesotho is bottom with no points. In their next game, Algeria will meet second-placed Ethiopia at the Setsoto Stadium on March 25, while Lesotho will face the Seychelles.
