AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Ethiopia and Algeria play to a 3-3 draw
ADDIS ABABA, Mar. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Ethiopia tied 3-3 with Algeria (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Addis Ababa Stadium.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Kebede ('29) for Ethiopia, Slimani ('43) for Algeria and two each in the second, Kebede ('48) and Fekadu ('64) for Ethiopia, Mandi ('62) and Ghoulam ('85 on penalty) for Algeria.
The result put the Algerians top of Group J with 10 points. Ethiopia is second with 5 points. In their next game, Algeria will meet third-placed the Seychelles at the Addis Ababa Stadium on June 2, while Ethiopia will face Lesotho.
