AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Lesotho beats Seychelles 2-1
MASERU, Mar. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Lesotho defeated the Seychelles by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Setsoto Stadium in Maseru.
Suzette opened the score in the 15th minute, before seeing Lesotho catch up in the 23rd minute thanks to Jane. 1-1 at half time. The Basothos eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Khutlang in the 69th minute.
The result put the Seychellois,Seychelloise second in Group J with 4 points. Lesotho is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, the Seychelles will meet group leaders Algeria at the Setsoto Stadium on June 2, while Lesotho will face Ethiopia.
