BUJUMBURA, Mar. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Namibia defeated Burundi by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium in Bujumbura.
45 minutes of play and neither the Namibians nor the Burundians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Shilongo ('51), Shalulile ('54) and Somaeb ('82).
The result put the Namibians second in Group K with 3 points. Burundi is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Namibia will meet Burundi at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium on March 29, while Burundi will face Namibia.
