AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Burundi beats Namibia 3-1
WINDHOEK, Mar. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Burundi defeated Namibia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.
Abdul Razak scored dual goals
Hotto opened the score in the 4th minute, before seeing Burundi catch up in the 43rd minute thanks to Kwizera. 1-1 at half time. The Burundians eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Abdul Razak ('71, '79).
The result put the Burundians second in Group K with 6 points. Namibia is third with 3 points. In their next game, Burundi will meet group leaders Senegal at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on June 4, while Namibia will face Niger.
