BUJUMBURA, Jun. 4, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Senegal defeated Burundi by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium in Bujumbura.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Mané ('16) and Mame Biram Diouf ('42).
The result put the Senegalese top of Group K with 15 points. Burundi is second with 6 points. In their last game, Senegal will meet third-placed Namibia at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium on September 3, while Burundi will face Niger.
