DAKAR, Sep. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Senegal defeated Namibia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON qualifying game on Saturday afternoon at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.
Senegal dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Diao in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Senegaleses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Diedhiou on penalty with one minute left in regular time.
Senegal secured their ticket to the AFCON finals. Namibia is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Group K
