AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Cameroon beats Mauritania 1-0
YAOUNDé, Jun. 14, 2015 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Cameroon defeated Mauritania by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé.
Mauritania made the Cameroonians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Cameroonian forward Vincent Aboubakar with one minute left in regular time.
The result put the Cameroonians top of Group M with 3 points. In their next game, Cameroon will meet second-placed Gambia at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium on September 6, while Mauritania will face South Africa.
