NOUAKCHOTT, Jun. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Cameroon defeated Mauritania by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday afternoon at the Nouakchott Olympic Stadium.
All the action happened in the first half, with Cameroonian midfielder Edgar Salli goal in the 29th minute.
The result put the Cameroonians top of Group M with 11 points. Mauritania is second with 7 points. In their last game, Cameroon will meet Gambia at the Nouakchott Olympic Stadium on September 3, while Mauritania will face South Africa.
