LIMBE, Sep. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Cameroon defeated Gambia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON qualifying game on Saturday afternoon at the Stade de Limbé.
Cameroon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Benjamin Moukandjo in the 35th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cameroonians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Karl Toko Ekambi in the 53rd minute.
Cameroon secured their ticket to the AFCON finals. Gambia is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Group M
