AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Madagascar beats Sudan 3-1
EL-OBEID, Jun. 9, 2017 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Madagascar defeated Sudan by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday night at the El-Obeid Stadium.
Andriatsima scored dual goals
Madagascar dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Andriatsima in the 15th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Malagasys further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Andriamatsinoro '62/penalty and Andriatsima '83).
The result put the Malagasy top of Group A with 3 points. In their next game, Madagascar will meet second-placed Senegal at the El-Obeid Stadium on September 9, while Sudan will face Equatorial Guinea.
