AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Senegal beats Sudan 3-0
DAKAR, Oct. 13, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Senegal defeated Sudan by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.
Senegal dominated the first half thanks to goals from Cissé ('17) and Gueye ('18). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Senegaleses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Niang in the 50th minute.
The result put the Senegalese top of Group A with 7 points. Sudan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Senegal will meet Sudan at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium on October 16, while Sudan will face Senegal.
