ANTANANARIVO, Oct. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Madagascar defeated Equatorial Guinea by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Vontovorona Stadium in Antananarivo.
All the action happened in the first half, with Rakotoharimalala goal in the 42nd minute.
The result put the Malagasy top of Group A with 10 points. Equatorial Guinea is third with 3 points. In their next game, Madagascar will meet Sudan at the Vontovorona Stadium on November 18, while Equatorial Guinea will face Senegal.
