AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Senegal defeats Sudan 1-0
KHARTOUM, Oct. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Senegal defeated Sudan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday night at the Khartoum Stadium.
45 minutes of play and neither the Senegaleses nor the Sudaneses have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by S. Sarr with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Senegalese top of Group A with 10 points. Sudan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Senegal will meet third-placed Equatorial Guinea at the Khartoum Stadium on November 17, while Sudan will face Madagascar.
