AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Senegal beats Equatorial Guinea 1-0
BATA, Nov. 17, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Senegal defeated Equatorial Guinea by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Estadio de Bata.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Meseguer into his own net in the 52nd minute.
The result put the Senegalese top of Group A with 13 points. Equatorial Guinea is third with 3 points. In their last game, Senegal will meet second-placed Madagascar at the Estadio de Bata on March 23, while Equatorial Guinea will face Sudan.
