AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Sudan beats Madagascar 3-1
ANTANANARIVO, Nov. 18, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Sudan defeated Madagascar by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Vontovorona Stadium in Antananarivo.
Sudan dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Musa in the 2nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Sudaneses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Abuaagla '61 and Yasir '85).
The result put the Malagasy second in Group A with 10 points. Sudan is third with 3 points. In their last game, Madagascar will meet group leaders Senegal at the Vontovorona Stadium on March 23, while Sudan will face Equatorial Guinea.
