AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Comoros draw 1-1 with Cameroon
MITSAMIOULI, Sep. 8, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Comoros tied 1-1 with Cameroon (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Said Mohamed Cheikh Stadium in Mitsamiouli.
The Comorans started off well by taking the lead thanks to Ben Nabouhane in the 15th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Cameroon with a saving goal from Bahoken in the 80th minute.
The result put the Cameroonians top of Group B with 4 points. Comoros is third with one point. In their next game, Cameroon will meet second-placed Malawi at the Said Mohamed Cheikh Stadium on October 12, while Comoros will face Morocco.
