AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Morocco beats Comoros 1-0
CASABLANCA, Oct. 13, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Morocco defeated Comoros by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Moroccan midfielder Fayçal Fajr on penalty in stoppage time.
The result put the Moroccans second in Group B with 6 points. Comoros is bottom with one point. In their next game, Morocco will meet Comoros at the Mohammed V Stadium on October 16, while Comoros will face Morocco.
