JUBA, Oct. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Gabon defeated South Sudan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Juba Stadium.
45 minutes of play and neither the Gaboneses nor the South Sudaneses have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Poko in the 59th minute.
The result put the Gabonese second in Group C with 7 points. South Sudan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Gabon will meet group leaders Mali at the Juba Stadium on November 17, while South Sudan will face Burundi.
