AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Nigeria beats Seychelles 3-0
VICTORIA, Sep. 8, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Nigeria defeated the Seychelles by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Stade Linité in Victoria.
Nigeria dominated the first half thanks to goals from Musa ('14) and Awaziem ('33). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Nigerians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Ighalo on penalty in the 57th minute.
The result put the Nigerians third in Group E with 3 points. The Seychelles is bottom with no points. In their next game, Nigeria will meet group leaders Libya at the Stade Linité on October 13, while the Seychelles will face South Africa.
