AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : South Africa beats Seychelles 6-0
JOHANNESBURG, Oct. 13, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : South Africa defeated the Seychelles by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
South Africa dominated the first half thanks to goals from Hoareau ('22 own), Hlatshwayo ('24) and Mothiba ('26). Leading 3-0 at the break, the South Africans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Tau '73, Ndlovu '80 and Mokoena '90).
The result put the South Africans top of Group E with 7 points. The Seychelles is bottom with no points. In their next game, South Africa will meet the Seychelles at the FNB Stadium on October 16, while the Seychelles will face South Africa.
