AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : South Africa hold Nigeria to 1-1
JOHANNESBURG, Nov. 17, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : South Africa tied 1-1 with Nigeria (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Mothiba ('25) for South Africa, Mkhwanazi ('9 own) for Nigeria and none in the second.
The result put the Nigerians top of Group E with 10 points. South Africa is second with 9 points. In their last game, Nigeria will meet the Seychelles at the FNB Stadium on March 22, while South Africa will face Libya.
