AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Kenya defeats Ethiopia 3-0
NAIROBI, Oct. 14, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Kenya defeated Ethiopia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi.
Kenya dominated the first half thanks to goals from Olunga ('23) and Johana ('27). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Kenyans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Wanyama on penalty in the 67th minute.
The result put the Kenyans top of Group F with 7 points. Ethiopia is third with one point. In their next game, Kenya will meet Sierra Leone at the Moi International Sports Centre on November 18, while Ethiopia will face Ghana.
