AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Zimbabwe defeats Liberia 3-0
HARARE, Jun. 11, 2017 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Zimbabwe defeated Liberia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
Musona scored tripple goals
Zimbabwe dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Musona in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Zimbabweans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Musona '49, '62).
The result put the Zimbabweans top of Group G with 3 points. In their next game, Zimbabwe will meet third-placed Congo-Brazzaville at the National Sports Stadium on September 9, while Liberia will face DR Congo.
