AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Congo-Brazzaville beats Liberia 3-1
BRAZZAVILLE, Oct. 11, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Congo-Brazzaville defeated Liberia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday afternoon at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Débat in Brazzaville.
Congo-Brazzaville dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ndockyt in the 15th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Congoleses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ibara '61 and Oniangue '89).
The result put the Congolese third in Group G with 4 points. Liberia is bottom with one point. In their next game, Congo-Brazzaville will meet Liberia at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Débat on October 16, while Liberia will face Congo-Brazzaville.
