MONROVIA, Oct. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Liberia defeated Congo-Brazzaville by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday night at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Dennis Jr. ('7) and William Jebor ('11).
The result put the Congolese third in Group G with 4 points. Liberia is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Congo-Brazzaville will meet second-placed DR Congo at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium on November 18, while Liberia will face Zimbabwe.
