AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Guinea beats Ivory Coast 3-2
BOUAKé, Jun. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Guinea defeated Ivory Coast by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday night at the Stade Bouaké.
Ivorian forward Seydou Doumbia opened the score in the 14th minute, before seeing Guinea catch up in the 31st minute thanks to Sadio Diallo. 1-1 at half time. The Guineans eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Kamano ('65) and Keïta ('78).
The result put the Guineans top of Group H with 3 points. In their next game, Guinea will meet the Central African Republic at the Stade Bouaké on September 9, while Ivory Coast will face Rwanda.
