BANGUI, Jun. 11, 2017 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : The Central African Republic defeated Rwanda by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Barthelemy Boganda Stadium in Bangui.
45 minutes of play and neither the Central Africans nor the Rwandans have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Gourrier ('46) and Kéïta ('90).
The result put the Central Africans second in Group H with 3 points. In their next game, the Central African Republic will meet group leaders Guinea at the Barthelemy Boganda Stadium on September 9, while Rwanda will face Ivory Coast.
