CONAKRY, Sep. 9, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Guinea defeated the Central African Republic by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Soumah in the 73rd minute.
The result put the Guineans top of Group H with 6 points. The Central African Republic is third with 3 points. In their next game, Guinea will meet Rwanda at the Stade du 28 Septembre on October 12, while the Central African Republic will face Ivory Coast.
