AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Guinea beats Rwanda 2-0
CONAKRY, Oct. 12, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Guinea defeated Rwanda by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday afternoon at the Stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry.
Guinea dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward François Kamano in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Guineans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cissé in the 72nd minute.
The result put the Guineans top of Group H with 9 points. Rwanda is bottom with no points. In their next game, Guinea will meet Rwanda at the Stade du 28 Septembre on October 16, while Rwanda will face Guinea.
