AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Rwanda hold Guinea to 1-1
KIGALI, Oct. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Rwanda tied 1-1 with Guinea (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Nyamirambo Stadium in Kigali.
The Guineans started off well by taking the lead thanks to Kanté in the 31st minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Rwanda with a saving goal from Tuyisenge in the 77th minute.
The result put the Guineans top of Group H with 10 points. Rwanda is bottom with one point. In their next game, Guinea will meet second-placed Ivory Coast at the Nyamirambo Stadium on November 18, while Rwanda will face the Central African Republic.
