AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Ivory Coast beats Rwanda 3-0 to qualify for 2019 AFCON
ABIDJAN, Mar. 23, 2019 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Ivory Coast defeated Rwanda by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON qualifying game on Saturday afternoon at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
Ivory Coast dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French forward Pépé in the 7th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Ivorians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Bailly '67 and Cornet '72).
Ivory Coast secured their ticket to the AFCON finals. Rwanda is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Group H
