AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Mauritania beats Botswana 1-0
FRANCISTOWN, Jun. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Mauritania defeated Botswana by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Francistown Stadium.
Botswana made the Mauritanians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Soudani in the 77th minute.
The result put the Mauritanians top of Group I with 3 points. In their next game, Mauritania will meet Burkina Faso at the Francistown Stadium on September 8, while Botswana will face Angola.
