NOUAKCHOTT, Sep. 8, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Mauritania defeated Burkina Faso by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Cheikha Ould Boïdiya Stadium in Nouakchott.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Diakité ('37) and Khassa Camara ('39).
The result put the Mauritanians top of Group I with 6 points. Burkina Faso is second with 3 points. In their next game, Mauritania will meet Angola at the Cheikha Ould Boïdiya Stadium on October 12, while Burkina Faso will face Botswana.
