AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Mauritania defeats Angola 1-0
NOUAKCHOTT, Oct. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Mauritania defeated Angola by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Cheikha Ould Boïdiya Stadium in Nouakchott.
All the action happened in the first half, with Mauritanian striker Adama Ba goal in the 17th minute.
The result put the Mauritanians top of Group I with 9 points. Angola is third with 6 points. In their next game, Mauritania will meet Botswana at the Cheikha Ould Boïdiya Stadium on November 18, while Angola will face Burkina Faso.
