AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Egypt defeats Eswatini 2-0
MANZINI, Oct. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Egypt defeated Eswatini by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the Mavuso Sports Center in Manzini.
Egypt dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Hegazi in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Egyptians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mohsen in the 53rd minute.
The result put the Egyptians top of Group J with 9 points. Eswatini is third with one point. In their next game, Egypt will meet second-placed Tunisia at the Mavuso Sports Center on November 16, while Eswatini will face Niger.
