NIAMEY, Oct. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Tunisia defeated Niger by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday afternoon at the General Seyni Kountché Stadium in Niamey.

All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Chaouat ('28, '32).
The result put the Tunisians top of Group J with 12 points. Niger is bottom with one point. In their next game, Tunisia will meet second-placed Egypt at the General Seyni Kountché Stadium on November 16, while Niger will face Eswatini.
