AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Egypt beats Tunisia 3-2
ALEXANDRIA, Nov. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Egypt defeated Tunisia by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday night at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Sliti opened the score in the 13th minute, before seeing Egypt catch up in the 32nd minute thanks to Trézéguet. 1-1 at half time. The Egyptians eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by B. Elmohamady ('60) and Salah ('90).
The result put the Egyptians top of Group J with 12 points. Tunisia is second with 12 points. In their last game, Egypt will meet Niger at the Borg El Arab Stadium on March 23, while Tunisia will face Eswatini.
