AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Niger beats Eswatini 2-1
MANZINI, Nov. 18, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Niger defeated Eswatini by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Mavuso Sports Center in Manzini.
Adebayor scored dual goals
Eswatini had started off well by taking the lead in the 19th minute with a goal by Nkambule. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Nigeriens nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Adebayor '55, '77).
The result put the Nigeriens third in Group J with 4 points. Eswatini is bottom with one point. In their last game, Niger will meet group leaders Egypt at the Mavuso Sports Center on March 23, while Eswatini will face Tunisia.
