AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Namibia beats Mozambique 2-1
MAPUTO, Oct. 13, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Namibia defeated Mozambique by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Zimpeto Stadium in Maputo.
Mozambique had started off well by taking the lead in the 26th minute with a goal by [Mexer. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Namibians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Shitembi '69 and Hotto '90).
The result put the Mozambicans top of Group K with 4 points. Namibia is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Mozambique will meet third-placed Namibia at the Zimpeto Stadium on October 16, while Namibia will face Mozambique.
