AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Mozambique beats Zambia 1-0
MAPUTO, Nov. 18, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Mozambique defeated Zambia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday afternoon at the Zimpeto Stadium in Maputo.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Reginaldo in the 63rd minute.
The result put the Mozambicans third in Group K with 7 points. Zambia is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Mozambique will meet group leaders Guinea-Bissau at the Zimpeto Stadium on March 23, while Zambia will face Namibia.
