AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Guinea-Bissau held to a 2-2 draw by Mozambique but qualifies for 2019 AFCON
BISSAU, Mar. 23, 2019 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Guinea-Bissau tied 2-2 with Mozambique (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON qualifying game on Saturday afternoon at the Estádio 24 de Setembro in Bissau.
The Bissau-Guineans started off well by taking the lead thanks to Bissau-Guinean forward Piqueti in the 13th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Mendy goal ('90) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Mozambique with goals by Ratifo ('48) and Nelson ('89).
Guinea-Bissau secured their ticket to the AFCON finals. Mozambique is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Group K
