AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Uganda beats Lesotho 3-0
KAMPALA, Oct. 13, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Uganda defeated Lesotho by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
Okwi scored dual goals
Uganda dominated the first half thanks to goals from Okwi ('11) and Miya ('37 on penalty). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Ugandans further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Okwi in the 64th minute.
The result put the Ugandans top of Group L with 7 points. Lesotho is third with 2 points. In their next game, Uganda will meet third-placed Lesotho at the Mandela National Stadium on October 16, while Lesotho will face Uganda.
