AFCON 2019 Qualifiers : Uganda beats Cape Verde 1-0
KAMPALA, Nov. 17, 2018 (AMP) — Cameroon 2019 (Qualifiers) : Uganda defeated Cape Verde by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday afternoon at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Kaddu in the 77th minute.
The result put the Ugandans top of Group L with 13 points. Cape Verde is third with 4 points. In their last game, Uganda will meet second-placed Tanzania at the Mandela National Stadium on March 24, while Cape Verde will face Lesotho.
