Champions League 2014-15 : Monaco defeats Arsenal 3-1

LONDON, Feb. 25, 2015 (AMP) — Champions League 2014-15 : Monaco defeated Arsenal by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Wednesday night at the Emirates Stadium in London.

Monaco dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia in the 38th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Monaco players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Berbatov '53 and Ferreira-Carrasco '90).

The second leg between Arsenal and Monaco will be played on Tuesday March 17, 2015 (kick-off: 20:45) in Monaco.
